GlamourPussy is Naomi Eyers

 

She’s been around the block and then some…

 

70s

Starting in the 1970s, a 20 year old Naomi Eyers started singing at local pubs and clubs in Adelaide. And as the 80s rolled around, she moved to Sydney and quickly became a much sought after ‘singer for hire’. She performed in studios, on TV including ___ (channel?) and did countless live performances at The Basement and other popular clubs and pubs. 

 

80s & 90s

In the mid-80s she created The Fabulous Singlettes – one of Australia’s most successful musical acts that went Australia-wide in 1986. Not long after, The Singlettes also toured world-wide including the likes of Edinburgh Festival and London’s West End.

 

Throughout the 90s Naomi continued performing to sell out audiences across Australia, London, and Europe. Her deep, powerful soulful voice captivated all lovers of R&B, soul, and jazz. She was a featured vocalist in Ronnie Scotts Jazz Club in London and appeared in a solo cabaret at London’s West End and the Adelaide Cabaret Festival. Naomi has also performed personally in Berlin, Hamburg, Vienna, Hong Kong and beyond. 

 

2000s

In early 2003, she co-created an award-winning jazz vocal group – Women With Standards and returned to Edinburgh with sold out shows at both Edinburgh Fringe and Adelaide Cabaret Festival. Naomi also received countless awards including Green Room Award, Spirit of the Fringe and Adelaide Fringe Award. 

 

She spent the next 20 years performing regularly across Europe, UK and Australia – both solo shows and with The Fabulous Singlettes. Some highlights include an appearance in Scott Evan Davis’ contemporary song cycle ‘Picture Perfect' in 2015. Naomi starred in Quiet Please: There’s A Lady Onstage with the music and friendship of Peter Allen and Judy Garland. 

 

2020 and beyond

GlamourPussy was born in 2020 in the heart of Melbourne’s 268 day lockdown. During this uncertain time, Naomi created the iconic figure of GlamourPussy. A powerful, fearless woman here to spread the word about post-menopause bliss. GlamourPussy and the Hip Replacements is an unfiltered, unapologetic, joy-filled cabaret that inspires and uplifts the hearts of folk across the globe.
